The Arts:  Opened in 2002, the Dogwood Center (www.dogwoodcenter.com) offers West Michigan a unique entertainment venue not usually found in less-populated areas such as this county of 44,000.  This state-of-the-art facility features a 400-seat main theatre with additional performance and meeting space in the flexible theater; however, mere words and pictures cannot compare to the actual experience of waling inside this newly completed structure.

       Newaygo County Historical Museum: This museum houses an impressive collection of lumbering era and pioneer memorabilia. Feature exhibits range from the mound building culture of the Hopewell Indians to post Vietnam-era artifacts.

      Summer Concert Series: Newaygo County hosts free concerts on Friday evenings during the summer months. The concert series showcases local jazz, bluegrass, country, and gospel bands.
